Programme Information

This programme, offered in the full-time and part time mode, will provide advanced research and clinical training to master-level clinical psychologists to raise their standards of professional practice and academic/research competence. The aim of the programme is to train future leaders in the clinical psychology profession, preparing graduates of this programme for senior posts in either tertiary educational institutions or practice settings.

Tuition Fee
The tuition fee will be HK$47,000 for 2026/27 and HK$49,500 for 2027/28, regardless of the study mode.
Admission Requirements

In addition to the general requirements of the Graduate School, all applicants should:

  1. possess a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology; and
  2. have eligibility for membership of the Division of Clinical Psychology, Hong Kong Psychological Society.

Knowledge of spoken Cantonese and written Chinese is required (Courses are taught in Cantonese and English).

All applicants should also submit a thesis proposal in English (2,500 words or above).

(for PhD programmes only)
  1. To submit an initial application to RGC: By 12 noon, 1 December 2025 (Hong Kong time); and
  2. To submit a full application to CUHK: By 11:59 pm, 1 December 2025 (Hong Kong time).
